PROTECTIVE TOE CAP- The boots feature a protective toecap for offering maximum protection against falling objects. The built-in protective toecap serves to protect the toes from impacts of an energy level of 125 J and a compression at a load of 11121 N (2500lbf). Dunlop boots with a protective toecap are labelled as Safety.
WATERPROOF - The boots are 100% waterproof to keep your feet dry under wet and dirty conditions.

Needed metal toe boots for occasional work outdoors, chopping stuff. I am on the fire dept but can't bring those boots home or else I'll probably forget when we have a call. Anyway, these feel like my fire boots but in rubber. Fit is good, not perfect, but good enough since there are no width choices. Only negative so far is that the rubber smells are very strong so I leave them outside or in the garage. Also fit and finish had a lot of excess rubber where the mold was bonded together, easy to take off with a blade. But neither of those issues affects the quality so I am happy especially when you consider the price.

There is more to women's shoe sizing than length

I have just received these boots, and haven't used them in the field yet. They seem fine so far. I did just want to note that there is more to women's shoe sizing than length. The advice for 'unisex' [men's] shoes is to size down by two sizes and round up for half sizes. This does work well for the length of these boots. However, they are wider than a true women's shoe size. This is especially noticeable in the heel and in these boots in particular because they are slip on. There are no laces to tighten to compensate. I will be purchasing heel inserts separately and hoping they stay in the boots. Ultimately this can be a safety issue. Anyone purchasing steel toe boots is using the for safety. A boot that does not stay securely on the foot while walking is a safety hazard.

I got these boots and really liked them because they were lightweight and not super hot in the summer months, and were pretty comfortable to wear. But I put in very long days as a dairy farmer, and after only about 45 days the wore holes in the tops behind the toes.....

I ordered these boots to use in the meat dept. of my store. I wear a size 15 so the delivery was weird, but the boots are incredible. I love them. They are perfect for my purposes. I found no need for insoles or anything. They are comfortable, durable (so far) and easy to clean. They are a little less slip resistant than I could have hoped for, but it's OK. it's not very slippery where I work.
