Excellent hi-viz winter jacket

So I work on airfields in New England. Spoiler alert, there’s like a crazy amount of wind at those, imagine that. And in the bitter cold, that wind can cut right thru you. And as you can also imagine, there’s no cover/shelter out on an airfield aside from your vehicle which only helps if you’re IN it. So I usually layer up and have a vehicle with me constantly (there’s no pedestrians on airfields…like not on purpose anyway) so I need a warm tough jacket. This is that. Heavy duty, and super warm. I was actually worried this jacket might be TOO warm to work in, but it’s very easy to vent on the bottom sides and at the top. Just enough pocket space (and no unnecessary ones except the weird sleeve one) my field book fits great in the tablet pocket. Velcro sleeve cuffs keep them nice and snug and they go right into gloves w/o holding them. The hood/collar situation is interesting on this one. I love how the zipper takes a left up at your face so you don’t catch your lip or beard hair in the zipper, and when the hood is off, and you zip up it’s all nice and snug around your neck so no chill gets in. When the hood is on, it’s a little looser, but the collar comes up and covers the bottom half of your face with is awesome. And the hood is insulated too so with a hat on it’s perfect.
Kishigo stuff tends to run a size big on me. I’m 5’8” about 180 and I wear a medium in pretty much everything except like hoodies and jackets. Then I’m a large esp if I want to layer. This medium fits me great with a comfortable amount of room with or without a layer but you really don’t need it with this jacket. Which I like. And it’s not this giant complicated nonsense with 82 zippers and 50 Velcro pockets and some crappy fleece lining that comes out, with a dumb thin hood that detaches for some reason, it’s just a good simple warm jacket that’s easy to maneuver in and out of a vehicle.
I do wish the hood had a little stretch to it, but it’s the same rip stop as the rest of the jacket, not the end of the world, but it would make it 1 notch better. And the 2 lower front sash pockets could have been insulated with like some micro fleece or something, but they’re just a whatever windbreaker jacket material inside. I think because they envision people wearing heavy gloves with this. No biggie. Just woulda been nice. And they could have continued the black to and around the wrist to keep it looking clean but again, little things.
Great jacket, super bright and very not ‘every other lame safety jacket’ you see. It gets attention (which is sort of the point haha)

This coat appears to be of high quality and is very warm. I normally wear size large and this coat runs true to size. The sleeves are a little tight but they don’t restrict movement. I wore a Carhartt heavy sweatshirt under it and it fit fine, maybe too warm too clear snow from my driveway.
I’m an inspector on construction sites and the hi-vis is very bright.
I’m happy with the purchase.
