Encouraging workers to wear protective gear can be a challenge, particularly in work settings where hard hats are not mandatory. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) conducted a survey and discovered that a third of head injuries resulting from impacts were incurred by workers who failed to wear head protection and collided with stationary objects. To address this issue, OccuNomix developed the "BCBC", a sporty and stylish baseball cap with a solid PE cap insert that is both enjoyable to wear and functional. The outer layer of the cap is made of a poly/cotton blend and is designed to fit all head sizes, with six panels and top-of-the-cap holes for ventilation.
Inside, a separate PE shell cap insert encircles the top, front, and sides of the head to provide protection against bumps and scrapes. The insert easily attaches to OccuNomix's Vulcan Baseball Caps, and it includes foam padding for enhanced comfort. Workers can also purchase the PE insert separately and secure it in their favorite high-profile or pro-style baseball cap. The BCBC is ideal for work settings such as food/beverage processing, meat packing, warehousing, auto repair, home inspection, and various types of mechanical work and pest control, where there is a risk of impact injuries to the head, but not to the back of the head. Please note that it is not ANSI-compliant.

I really like mine. It saves me lots of cussing. I bump my head daily in the environment I work in. The downside is it’s not interchangeable with my favorite caps. I wish they made an insert that fit other ball caps.
