The OccuNomix American Classic Cowboy Hard Hat encourages workers to wear head protection even when the foreman is not around. It is compliant with ANSI Z89.1, Type I, Class E, and G standards. The hard hat's outer shell, made of high-density polyethylene, resists penetration, deflects blows from falling objects, reduces danger from low and high-voltage electrical conductors, and is slow-burning and water-resistant. The VCB200 design features a custom curled extra-wide brim for added UV and rain protection compared to standard or full-brim hard hats, as well as a vintage-inspired pinch-front top for authentic appeal, with a date of manufacture embossed on the inside shell. The Vulcan Cowboy Hard Hat's ratchet suspension features a super-soft yet strong, six-point woven nylon web-crown strap system that acts as a rugged shock absorber with six load-bearing points, spreading the impact over a larger area and stabilizing the Hard Hat. The suspension includes a "dial your size" feature, allowing for precise personalization with ratchet sizing adjustment in 1/8" increments, which is non-irritating. Included FREE with Suspension - detachable plush cotton terry, laminated over soft foam, Front Sweatband for moisture wicking-comfort and snug fit.

Perfect Hard Hat

I own one of each color, I prefer my black one. Summer and Winter, in the rain, it always gives superior protection.
Very comfortable to wear and the ANSI rating has been allowed as an option to CSA for hard hats in Alberta under the provincial safety codes and regulations since the 1970's.
My favorite hard hat.

Suspension system

I have had a few hard hats over the last 30 years. But, the suspension system! This one was difficult to lock in place. The 6 point suspension is good to have in a hard hat. But, the tabs were very hard to get to lock in place. Two I could not get to snap in place at all. It does stay on my head but, I can feel the difference in the stability of the hat! Boil it down to ( Fit & Finish ) sorry I can’t say I would recommend it. Being a lead man on a Railroader in the North East I did get a lot of ribbing for it! It’s a No from me…

Don't Get on the Job Without it

I'm 83 yrs old with vertigo problems & fall a lot. I tried the hat on & didn't like it but I was wearing it when I took one of my nasty falling backwards spills & I didn't feel a thing.
You'd have to fight me to get it off me now.

This hard hat meets osha requirements but some general contractors are skeptical. So be patient. Not only provides safety, and sun exposure, but also turns heads! It’s comfortable despite its sturdiness. Always a conversation starter and keeps your cowboy style on point. I highly recommend it. It’s safe to say to go with a white color to keep g.c.s off your radar.

A test purchase. Keeping it from a 5-star rating is the lack of vent slots at the peak, and the black really attracts the heat. I'll order the tan or white next season. Very comfortable, and I can readily note my supervisors in the sea of various colors of hard hats.
